Massachusetts Mortgage Rates: MA Mortgage Rates Up From Low Still Unusually Low

Today’s Massachusetts mortgage interest rates are in line with national averages. Today’s MA 30 year fixed rate is 4.75%, down from 4.875% yesterday and 4.5% just 3 weeks ago. Today’s MA 15 year fixed rate is 4.25%, unchanged from yesterday and 1/8 above the record low set 3 weeks ago. Today’s MA 5/1 ARM rate is 3.75%, up from a record low 3.5% set late last month.

Zillow said yesterday Massachusetts mortgage rates are up 3 basis points this week over last with an average MA 30 year fixed rate of 4.81%. Compare that to Washington D.C. which is at a whopping 5.38%.

Today’s Massachusetts FHA Mortgage Rates

Just as conforming MA mortgage rates are in line with national averages, so are FHA rates. Today’s MA FHA 30 year fixed rate is 4.875%, down from 5% yesterday and up from 4.5% 3 weeks ago. Wells Fargo offers 5% for a 30 year fixed FHA mortgage in MA currently; however, we’ve verified with several wholesale lender’s an interest rate of 4.875% at par. Still it’s a good idea to compare fees and make the best decision for you. Today’s MA 5/1 ARM FHA rate is 3.75%, mirroring that of conforming 5/1 ARM’s.
