A few weeks ago Wells Fargo was slightly above the available par rates on their 30 year fixed mortgages. Par rates are lowest available interest rates.

Wells Fargo jumbo mortgage rates are better if you compare them to par rates. Wells Fargo’s jumbo 30 year fixed mortgage rate is 5.75%, setting the standard for jumbo 30 year fixed rates.
Wells Fargo’s FHA 30 year fixed rate though is bad. At 5.5% Wells Fargo’s 30 year fixed FHA rate is almost .50% above what’s available. Wells Fargo’s 5/1 ARM FHA rate though is excellent and maybe the best on the market at 4%.
Wells Fargo’s 15 year fixed mortgage rate today is 4.75%, about 1/4% above what’s available.
It’s become quite obvious to us, Wells Fargo mortgage has their strengths and weaknesses. Besides the FHA 30 year fixed Wells Fargo doesn’t have bad mortgage rates. If you’re looking FHA and 30 year fixed you’ll probably want to go somewhere else with your business. If you’re going FHA and 5/1 ARM then Wells Fargo is the place to be.
