Vermont Mortgage Rates: Mortgage Rates in Vermont Remain the Same

January 26, 2011 (FreeRateUpdate.com) – As investors await today’s Fed announcement, mortgage rates in Vermont remain the same but are at risk of reprising.
Current conforming mortgage rates for Vermont 30 year fixed rate mortgages are at 4.625% and 3.875% for Vermont 15 year fixed rate mortgages. Vermont 5/1 adjustable rate mortgages are also the same at 3.125%. Vermont borrowers who have maintained good credit can choose these low Vermont mortgage rates with 0.7 to 1% origination fee.
Vermont FHA mortgages are still popular because they have low down payment requirements. Today’s Vermont FHA 30 year fixed rate mortgages are at 4.500%, Vermont FHA 15 year fixed rate mortgages are at 4.000% and Vermont 5/1 adjustable rate mortgages are 3.125%. Vermont FHA mortgage loan rates remain competitive with Vermont conforming loan rates even though Vermont FHA closing costs (APR) are higher due to the upfront mortgage insurance premium and other applicable FHA fees due at closing.
